A P & P glass porch adds another layer of security, space, and elegance to the front of your home.
Glass porches add a stunning feature to the exterior of any property and will keep your front door free from external draughts reducing household energy bills. We utilise frameless glass porches to give the same panoramic feel as bifold doors, creating something genuinely unique for South East homeowners.
Glass porches are more secure than just a front door as it adds an additional layer of security to your home. P & P uses toughened glass, reinforced hinges, and secure locking systems before anyone can access your front door; your home will be more secure than ever.
A P & P glass porch will also give you extra space. A porch should cater for your needs, so whether you are looking for a slight expansion of your front door or space to store boots, coats, and more, we can meet your requirements and create the perfect glass porch for you.
Our glass porches are made bespoke to order, tailored to your needs. We ensure they are a perfect made-to-measure fit and can match your home's existing aesthetic. We have design options that can either make a statement or blend in as though it has always been there. Glass porches are also extremely easy to maintain and will never rot, rust, flake, or fade.
We at P & P understand investing in a new glass porch can seem daunting. We decided it might be helpful to answer some commonly asked questions so you can make an informed decision.
Do I need planning permission for a new porch?
Most planning authorities will advise you don't need planning permission for a small porch as long as the area doesn't exceed 3 square meters, more than 3 meters above ground level or within 2 meters of a boundary or highway. If you fall outside these criteria, then planning permission will be needed. Another consideration is if your property is listed. P & P are happy to advise you and have many years of experience and will ensure you remain compliant with planning permission and building regulations.
Does a porch need foundations?
This is dependent on design. A porch with dwarf walls, for example, will require foundations. We can advise you throughout your porch journey on what is required.
Should my new porch match my existing home?
There are no rules; you can have the design you wish! We advise you to be mindful of your home's exterior aesthetics to ensure you add value to your property.
