A stunning installation carried out by one of Surrey’s leading window installers has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry prize.
P&P Glass wowed judges at the Conservatory and Orangery awards with the work they carried on a Roehampton home.
The Pucinellis of South-West London wanted their detached property to retain its traditional appearance at the front, but to undergo a contemporary transformation at the back.
P&P were challenged with making those plans a reality, by installing a sleek and minimalistic glass breakfast room – a less than straightforward task.
With only limited access to the rear of the property, P&P installers had to skilfully manoeuvre glass units weighing over 250kg into position using a spider crane.
But despite these and other challenges encountered along the way, the project was finished on-time, on-budget, and to an exceptional standard.
Mrs Pucinelli comments: “We were really pleased with all the work P&P Glass carried out for us, but the glazed breakfast room was the cherry on the cake”.
Tom Scanlan, P&P’s Managing Director, comments: “We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised with a Conservatory and Orangery Award nomination.
“This wasn’t an off-the-shelf product, or an existing design tweaked to fulfil the requirements of this particular project, but something totally unique – designed and manufactured specially for this purpose.
“The fact such an ambitious, bespoke project was completed on-time and on-budget – despite some challenging circumstances – is a testament to the expertise and professionalism of our installers.”
Winners will be announced on Wednesday 30th October at a glamorous event at Manchester’s Midlands Hotel.
